Is this a genuine 1877 Indian Head Cent?

Those well-versed in the Indian cent series will immediately recognize this 1877 Indian cent as being genuine by way of the diagnostic weakness in "OF AME...." on the obverse and the fade-away bottom on the "N" on the reverse in CENT. Also, I do, of course, guarantee that this is an absolutely genuine 1877 Indian cent. This coin retains better detail than is required of a Very Good grade, but it has insufficient detail to merit a Fine. The coin does, however, have a small issue of which you should be aware: It was stored for many years in a Whitman folder. The reverse retains entirely naturally color, but obverse appears to have been "thumbed off" to remove folder detritus. See the auction here.
